Recent Outage - September 2024

The server is hosted in a datacenter located on the Northwest portion of North Carolina. This area was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene which took out lots of infrastructure including networking/communications and power. While the datacenter does have backup generators in the event of a power o...

Re: Develop better algorithm for choosing Sprint projects

The projects for the sprints are selected completely random. No human input at all. Sadly most of the projects that can handle a sprint are math projects. Until more projects become available that can support a sudden load that a sprint can handle we're severely limited. The difficult part about reg...

Re: How long does it take to validate new account?

I don't know anything about the inner workings but perhaps projects that update stats more than once a day may be the ones to target eg SiDock and Einstein? That is the quickest way to get validated. If you know what times the projects update their stats.xml file each day you could pick the next pr...

Re: Sprint project Milkyway

I don't know. It's not anything BG can do since we have no control over TSC or Milkyway. So you'll need to ask TSC or Milkyway what the problem may be.

Re: How long does it take to validate new account?

We don't control how often the validation happens. To validate your CPID you will need to change your name to the unique name BG gives you. Then once that project updates their stats.xml export file, BG will grab it and if the unique name and CPID matches your account will be validated. To speed up ...
